Olivine Marketing is a creative product marketing collective specializing in cinematic marketing films and product marketing strategy for tech companies.
The Project
Olivine's SaaS clients' products can seem abstract or intangible because they're not selling a physical product. This reminded me of the design and marketing process and how in the beginning it is undefined and abstract and there is a lot of discovery and creative exploring. From there Olivine and I decided to run with an abstract art creative direction that demonstrated that Olivine is creative, serious and refined.
All the original artwork was created by hand on paper and each image was composed in Photoshop. I designed and built the Olivine website using Squarespace.
The Process
This was one of my favorite projects of 2019. I hand sketched all the original artwork using alcohol based markers with rubbing alcohol to create a watercolor effect.
Using Photoshop, I cropped and manipulated the images into basic circles and squares. I wanted the website artwork to have a clean and crisp appearance while retaining the soft, organic edges of the original sketches.
